NAWB The Forum 2017

March 25 – 28, 2017 | (Washington DC)  Five Star is presenting a workshop as well as exhibiting at this year’s The Forum 2017 — the National Association of Workforce Board (NAWB) premier event where more than 1,500 workforce development professionals and leaders in business, government, labor and education convene to focus on addressing needs of businesses, career seekers, and local economies.

Five Star’s David Colaizzi, CEO and CTO is presenting the workshop, “Workforce Data Integration and Planning: Three States, Three Models, Three Regional Approaches!” with Dawn Busick-Drinkard, MCCA MoWINs Grant Director, Missouri Community College Association; Kathleen Kirby, Statewide Project Dir, GPSTEM, Massasoit Community College and Debra Mikulka, KanTRAIN Director, Washburn University.

Selected for its fit into the conference theme ‘Defining Challenges, Shaping Opportunities’ the 75-minute workshop features how the panel institutions developed pilot projects to integrate the data systems of the public higher education and pubic workforce systems in order to improve high-demand training, employment, and industry-responsive outcomes for a highly-skilled workforce.

The workshop will feature Five Star’s workforce development technology solutions developed for the Massasoit Pathways Integration project — and how they address the key challenges of data security and sharing, as well as how they effectively integrate the various existing yet disparate data sources for more effective results for training participants, colleges, industry, and workforce system partners.

Other Five Star solutions for higher education and workforce development are also being showcased in the exhibit hall.
